A Tribute to Thomas Merton: An Evening of Jazz and Film

December 14, 2019

6 - 9 pm

Join us for an amazing evening celebrating the life and teachings of Thomas Merton. Begin the evening with the Morgan Atkinson’s documentary film “Soul Searching: The Journey of Thomas Merton” featuring the musical score by Dick Sisto. Then enjoy a concert with the Dick Sisto Jazz Trio featuring Jim Anderson and Frank Morrison playing the music Sisto wrote for the film and sharing musings and memories of his time spent with his friend and teacher Thomas Merton.

Featuring new work by Louisville based potter, Kendall Herdelin. Herdelin received his BFA in Ceramics and Graphic Design from the University of Louisville.

The fifth Annual MountFest returns June 6th, 2020.

MountFest is a regional juried arts festival which brings the community together nourishing the Franciscan traditions of spirituality, creation and the arts.
